In Search of Networking Opportunities

I am new to the Austin, TX area and have been looking for more real estate focused networking opportunities. There are very few listed on BiggerPockets and the ones that I have found here are months out. 

What networking groups would you recommend, either local or virtual, are the most valuable? Would love to find some that are meeting often.

Hi Deanna,

There is one that meets every Tuesday for lunch at Casa Chapala (9041 Research Blvd) from 11:45 AM to 1:15 PM. Now, this is a commercial real estate investing group (with heavy focus on multifamily real estate investing), but it's free to attend and doesn't require you to be a member or anything like that. One of the greatest groups of experts in the business I've ever seen in Austin.

 Have you tried the universities? I would even reach out to huge corporations and see if they are doing any speaking engagements that you could attend.
