Physical Address on EIN Applicaiton

Greetings,

I am curious on what others use when filling out the EIN application for LLC physical address. This is for creating a LLC for real estate buy and hold/flips.

Do you use a virtual space address or primary residence? I do want to keep my information private.

Hey Fernando, I used my virtual office address when completing any of these types of forms. I don't want my personal address anywhere. Mailing address is a local PO box I have, but the physical address is a virtual office in Chicago for me.

We have a virtual address as well. Our mailing address is a PO Box.

Should be a physical address where someone can be served / registered agent

If someone wants to find you in todays world they can. For 55 cents I can find almost anyone anywhere…

Thank you for your reply. I asked my registered agent (attorney) and he said that he looked into it. The attorneys office cannot be used as the physical address. 

Is there any other option?

Sometimes you may need "original" irs ein letter.  This can occur if a company's "identity" is stolen, ie someone other than appointed managers or owners - use company ein to open a bank account fraudulently.  If for some reason you "loose" original letter IRS will only postal mail a copy of the letter to the "original" address ein was issued to.

The attorney’s address can in fact be used as your address so long as your attorney is willing to act as your agent and you pay for that service (them being your agent). It sounds like your attorney isn’t willing to. There are third party providers that will (again, for a fee)

Hey @Fernando Martínez - We use my home address even though we are a virtual company here in Chicago.  If you and your team work virtually you should use your primary address.  May not be a bad idea to check with an attorney as well.

 @Juan V Lopez, where did you get your virtual office address? I am in the process of forming an LLC in Wyoming but reside in California. Should my virtual office address be in Wyoming or California, or it doesn't matter?
