I am looking for a good recommendation for a CPA who is very knowledgeable in real estate investing. I'm not very satisfied with the CPA I currently use. I would like someone who knows our area of the tax code and who can give strategic tax advice. Thanks for any direction you can give.

I was not getting any direction or advice on how to better my tax situation. They just simply did the tax return and told me how much to pay. I'm looking for a CPA who may be well versed in real estate investment strategies that can help design a tax plan moving forward to reduce the tax liability.

Knowledge is 1/2 of what you need from a good CPA, also look for a willingness to communicate.

Where do you live? I Live in Northern CA and have a great CPA who is very knowledgeable on RE taxes and provide helpful advice for reducing tax liability.

Just browse this forum and pay attention who answers questions well. See if it says "CPA" or "accountant" next to his/her name, as in my examples below. @Mark Alford Most CPA's on this form are going to be very experienced in real estate taxes. When you say are section of the tax code or referring to real estate and what specifically are you looking for that your prior CPA didn't give you?
