Real Estate Investors Friendly CPA
Hi Community, please recommend an experienced and reasonably priced CPA in the Chicago area. Thank you!
I would recommend against price shopping. There are plenty of Walmart CPAs out there but they won't have the expertise, experience or risk appetite of a real estate specific CPA.

@Andrii Okipnyi I know a great firm in your area (Schaumburg). I agree though that price shopping really isn't the best since taxes are literally your number one expense on rentals. Let me know if you want an intro?

Hey @Andrii Okipnyi - I have a rockstar Chicago real estate-specific CPA. Keep in mind you almost ALWAYS get what you pay for with service industry professionals, so it cost money to save money. It is worth it and the sooner the better if you are going to really lean into real estate.
Feel free to reach out and I can provide you with his contact information.

I would echo what everyone else said on here. Depending on your situation, it might be very advantageous to hire a "more expensive" CPA. It just depends on if you're a real estate professional, are in the short term rental space, or make below a certain income.
