How can we split the fee?
I am a RE broker in the Chicagoland area. I am getting ready to wrap up negotiations on a 100k sf office space for 8.5mm. 500k of that is a fee to be split 50/50 between myself and the banker who brought me the deal. Unfortunately our office cannot pay my banker friend directly due to licensing laws in Illinois. How can he take his portion legally without my office getting into trouble?
