I am looking to get started on my first real estate investment with an investor. I have created an LLC and wondering if there are any contracts I should have to protect both my interests and those of the investor. Has anyone worked with investors before that could offer best practice, advice, sample contacts?
I would contact an investor-friendly attorney about drafting something for you. You can usually find these attorney's at REIA meetings or get their names from other REIA members.
Don't be penny wise and pound foolish this is serious business you are entering into and you don't want to wing it. Too much is at stake. Form a team, build relationships and grow your business.
