Different states have different laws
I would contact a tax Atty in each state and ask them
I try to always put it to my home state which does not have a state income tax. There are state and local taxes that rental properties have to pay. Fla requires 7% sales tax on commercial rental property.
@Michael Plante had a good suggestion but I put that on my accountant to figure it out.

Depends on the state. For example, CA requires reporting and an annual $800 tax on all CA LLCs, even if the property is elsewhere.
