Looking for REI accountant
I'm looking for recommendations for an accountant who is well-versed in real estate investing. Cape Coral was my only nearby choice in the drop-down for locations, but anywhere from there on down through Naples, FL would be good. Also, I'm considering just staying with my old accountant in Arizona, so does anyone use a distant, out of state firm, and how does that work out for you? I was just thinking that it'd be good to have someone I can meet face to face when necessary. Thanks for any help!
Most CPAs are working remotely these days. Specialization in real estate is more valuable than location. If your old CPA is up to date on tech and willing to work remotely, you should be good. If not - find someone who is.

You want to work with a professional who understands real estate taxation and Arizona state taxation.
Florida does not have a state income tax and no filing obligation for you. Therefore, I am not sure if finding a CPA in Florida or Naples / Cape Coral would be beneficial to you.
Does your current accountant service real estate investors? Take a look at their website and see if that is a major focus of their practice.
