@Kyle Udall there are lots of great groups in the valley and people investing in RE in about every which way. REI is powerful and getting started is the biggest factor. Like many have said it isn't a get rich quick method but getting started today will have major results in 3 years.
@Chris Davidson wonderful news. Do you recommend any certain groups? Either virtual or in person.

@Kyle Udall each has it's own feel and certain ones are geared more towards certain aspects of REI. Check out Meetup find a few and give them a shot see what fits your jam the best.

Welcome to BP and real estate investing! There is some awesome resources on BP and a wealth of knowledge on your local market. Don't hesitate to reach out to members and ask questions. You'll see different meetups scheduled by real estate agents on here, but from what I have seen they don't seem to be super valuable (not a hard and fast point, just a note of caution). Try reaching out directly to BP members on here and go grab a coffee. A 30 minute one on one conversation will provide you with a ton of value and a real opportunity to connect with people.
