Real Estate CPA Experienced in Southern California (San Diego).

Hello All! 

I am an investor based out of San Diego, CA looking to build a long term relationship with a CPA who is knowledgable in California Taxes. (They don't necessarily have to be based in California) My wife and I are house hackers, we currently rent out a duplex and purchased another home. 

I'm a W2 Employee and my wife as of recent became a stay at home mom. Since she will be managing our properties, I would like to connect with a CPA to help us transition my wife as a full time investor and help us understand the tax opportunities that come with her new role. 

My goal is to take a proactive approach with taxes and meet with my CPA a few times a year to make sure we're in good hands come tax seasons.

I recommend finding an accountant who specializes in real estate taxation and tax planning.

You may want to consider working with your accountant remotely to expand your options.

I would also recommend looking for a accountant willing to work with you throughout the year. You want an accountant who can help you strategize and who is responsive when you want to know the consequences of the financial decisions you are making throughout the year.

There are over 20 real estate accountants on this site. Reach out to a few and see who you like.

You can also ask members of your local real estate investors association for real estate accountant recommendations.
