Job Posting: Loan Officer / Loan Originator - Nationwide
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Loan Officer is responsible for originating high yield short term (hard money) mortgage loans by aggressive reaching out to developers, builders, investors, realtors and various sources of referrals. This is a hunter role. Must be comfortable going outside your comfort zone establishing new relationships across the country. This position is based in Los Angeles and may require travel as needed. Strong analytical skills and the ability to creatively structure deals will be needed to succeed in this position. Background in Hard Money lending is strongly desired. Understanding of Crowdfunding is a big plus. Typical loans fund with 5-10 business days. The right candidate must be able to hit the ground running.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES, includes the following responsibilities, but not limited to:
Source, Originate and Negotiate hard money loans across the country.
Collect and analyze information regarding project and Borrower profile in order to structure terms.
Submits completed loan application and supporting documentation to the underwriting department.
Present and educate prospective clients to the advantages of our company and our lending platform.
Manage customer expectations throughout the entire loan process as well as after closing.
Work in unison with our marketing department to develop collateral to promote the company and attract new business.
Build network and community relationships, aggressively to real estate agents, builders, developers, financial planners and other referral sources around the country.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
¨ Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance preferred or equivalent experience
¨ Familiarity with current lending environment.
¨ A minimum of 3 years of current mortgage banking experience with a proven track record of success
¨ Current referral base from Realtors, Financial Planners, Builders, etc.
¨ Strong relationship-building skills
¨ Must be self-motivated and have an ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
¨ Excellent attention to detail
¨ Ability to work in a fast paced, fluid environment.
