General Contractor/Handyman Needed - South Los Angeles County/North Orange County
The property management and real estate services company I work for, LS Real Estate, Inc., is looking to hire a licensed general contractor and a handyman to service our residents' maintenance requests. We are located in Whittier, CA, and manage 90-100 residential properties in Whittier, La Habra, South Gate, Bell Gardens, Downey, Norwalk, and the surrounding areas, with plans to expand into North OC.
You would be responsible for scheduling appointments with the tenants to inspect and fix their maintenance issues, inspecting the issue, fixing it if you're able or letting the office staff know if you're unable, and following up with office staff to let us know when assignments are completed. The majority of our properties are small multi-family (under 16 units) and single family homes, so you would be required to drive to multiple properties a day, depending on how many requests we have.

- Position is as an independent contractor (1099)
- Pay is hourly
General Contractor Requirements
- Must have your own tools
- Must have your own truck
- Must be licensed AND bonded
- Being bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus
Handyman Details
- Position is as an employee (W-2)
- Pay is hourly
- The company pays your payroll taxes
Handyman Requirements
- Must have your own tools
- Must have your own truck
- Do NOT need to be licensed
- Being bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus
