The market is made up of a strong manufacturing based economy and a large downtown redevelopment is currently underway including an Indiana University Medical School and double tree convention center hotel and is poised for growth with the recent completion of the I-69 corridor and new innovations happening between Crane Naval Base and one of Evansville's 3 universities with the I-69 Innovation Corridor.

The City of Evansville is located on the north bank of the Ohio River in Indiana near the boarder of Kentucky and Illinois. The city is considered the economic center of the tri-state area. Evansville is the county seat of Vanderburgh County and the third largest city in Indiana, with a city population (per 2010 US Census) of 117,429. The Evansville Metropolitan Statistical Area (which includes Gibson, Posey, Vanderburgh and Warrick Counties in Indiana and
Henderson and Webster Counties in Kentucky) has a population of 358,676, an increase of almost 5% since from 2000.
