Looking to invest in Columbus, OH
Greetings all,
I'm a rookie investor from MD very interested in long distance rental investing in the Columbus area, preferably single family units. As of now my budget is around 130k. Can someone provide some insight on whether this is doable and provide some recommendations on Class B and above neighborhoods and/or neighborhoods in the process of revalitazation?
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
If there is anything I can do in terms of providing any insight in the Washington DC metro area in return, please feel free to reach out.
Pleasure meeting Navraj Gill you have a very doable goal. Columbus Ohio is a strong market for rentals. Let's connect to discuss.

North Linden, South of Main, Vassor Village, Woodland Park, MT Vernon, Milo-Grogan, Franklinton, Merrion Village, Hungarian Village, Southern Orchards, Driving Park, Olde Towne East, Franklin Park, King Lincoln, Old Oaks, Livingston Park are all but not limited to some areas in Columbus, Ohio I think will gentrify quickly and make for great long term buy and holds.
Hi Navraj!
Columbus is awesome...but im definitely biased. I have had personal success buying in the Hilltop area around your price range.
Usually 1940 built homes with slab basements that can be sold later for high 100s or low 200s.
Hope that helps and thanks for investing in the best city in Ohio.( Cleveland is cool too)
I’m also looking for some odd market deals in Columbus. Anything value add. Flips, long term rentals, multi family, etc.
Columbus is a great market. 130k is enough to enter the game! Reminton did a great job giving specific neighborhoods that would fit your criteria.
Hey @Navraj Gill I believe it is doable. Columbus is a great area depending on where you want to invest in. Being closer to college campus is a great idea as there are a mix of neighborhoods and more than likely a great rental oppportunity with good cash flow. Let's connect and discuss more!
