Philadelphia rental license
Hi, I'm trying to renew my rental license for a Philadelphia duplex that I also live in. And the eclipse website is asking me to get a notarized affidavit stating that one unit is being occupied by me. I just started being a landlord 2yrs ago and I don't remember having to do that when I renewed the rental license last year.
Is this a new requirement or am I missing something?
Also do I need to get a new certificate of rental suitability everytime I renew a lease?
Thank you for your help

Instructions and the form are here: https://www.phila.gov/services...
They want to confirm you are not trying to sneak past the registration process.
@Nathan GesnerThanx for the response! So I have to renew the rental license and get a certificate of rental suitability too? So much to learn.

It appears so. If you have four units, but occupy one of them, they want evidence that you're living in the fourth unit and not hiding a rental from them.
@Afia Amponsah I suggest you join HAPCO since you are landlording in Philadelphia. Lots of helpful individuals there who can help with questions specific to Philadelphia rental laws.
@Nathan GesnerOh now I get it! Thank you so much for clarifying.
@Karen JohnsonThanx, I'm going to join HAPCO right away. I appreciate your help.
