I own a few condo's in an over 55 community.  I am thinking about renting to to a Section 8 tenant.  I am asking 1,095, a fair price which they are wiliing to pay.  They want to setup the lease for 975 and pay the difference upfront (1,440.)  They said Section 8 won't pay the full price.  Why does section 8 care?  If they only pay 975 why would they care if I charged 2,000?  Is there anything wrong with setting it up the way they want?
