Filling vacancies

Hello All, I'm in the Waco market and was curious about the length of time it takes to rent out a home. I will most likely buy a single family home in either Woodway or Hewitt, but I am a little worried about the home being vacant for too long. Any answers, advice/guidance is appreciated!
