Tenant has lost his job.

Good morning.  

My tenant has lost his job.   Two weeks ago I hired a property manager because he is an high maintenance tenant. 

He has not informed me or property manager of his situation yet but I know because I have a good friend living across from my rental. 

Question is do I wait for tenant to inform us he is jobless or can I legally give a heads up to the property management  company?
