The City of Indianapolis is cracking down on rental properties not registered as required with the Landlord Registry. The politicians are under pressure because of all the bad PR brought on by Morris Invest and Oceanpointe (Bert Whalen). In a story in the Indianapolis Star the city has issued 877 letters and will be implementing fines if a property is not registered as required with the Landlord Registry.

If you own rental properties in Indianapolis and are not sure if your property is registered please make it a priority to contact your property manager or get your property registered yourself. If not, you can be sure they will now be making examples out of non-registered landlords and you will be fined!
