Mixing vacation and long term rentals in the same building

I am toying with the idea of turning a one bedroom unit in a fourplex into a furnished vacation rental.  The other units are tenants on annual leases.

I am concerned whether this may be a negative to the other tenants due to more traffic from strangers every few days, may be more noise at night?

Has anyone done this and ran into issues?  Would like to consider all angles before jumping in.

Never done it but I know someone that has and it does pretty well for them. There are issues with the excess noise so I recommend putting the short-terms on the bottom floor so it's a little quieter for your long-term tenants. I would also fully disclose this to your long-term tenants and get their opinion before moving forward. It would suck to start doing it and get complaints from all three units!
