Hey everyone. I am building a duplex/triplex this coming year. I will be living in one of the units and renting out by the room the other unit/units. Although I wonder if this is even allowed due to zoning.
Im flexible as to where I build if there are better zoning elsewhere like in Vancouver, Clackamas etc..
Just wanting to know if anyone else is doing this and if so where before I start reading every single cities zoning laws within 100miles!

The zoning I’m familiar with don’t restrict you from renting rooms instead of whole house. Rather they restrict the length of stay. If they have a restriction, it is a 30 day minimum.
Generally speaking, Clark county is more landlord friendly than Oregon.
