Storage Building on new Purchase

We are in the process of buying a property for a rental. It has a very nice size storage building on the property. Would you charge additionally for using the storage building or would you just include it as part of the overall rent.

It depends on the size of the storage unit, your market, and the demand for storage space. If this is a single-family home with a 2-car garage and an attic or basement, that's probably plenty of storage and they won't care much about the shed. If it's a smaller home with little storage space, the storage unit could be a big benefit.

Personally, I just rent the property at one price and include the shed. If the shed adds value compared to other homes of comparable location, quality, and size, then I would bump the rent $50 - $100 depending on the price of comparably storage units in the area.
