I am about to rent out my first home, and I have a lease agreement created based off a Standard Michigan Lease Agreement I found for free online. I made additions based on concerns I want to address, and I believe the next best step is to have it reviewed by a Landlord/Tenant saavy lawyer. How much should I expect to pay? And how would I go about finding solid lawyers that understand Michigan real estate laws and common Landlord/Tenant issues (or does anyone have any recommendations)?
Thank you guys :)
I recommend using Avvo as a starting point
charges $350 per hour, but is the best real estate attorney in southeast Michigan.
This will be a one-time fee, as you can use the lease over and over again.
We have several we can refer...
Just pay to be RPOA member and use their lease. Judges familiar with it which makes them more comfortable you are not taking advantage of tenant with a frankenstein lease
