I'm curious if anyone has used crowdfunding platforms such as CrowdStreet and how they became comfortable enough with the general partner/ investment to actually invest? Were you willing to invest in a market you've never been to/ aren't familiar with? How did you get comfortable with the GP? Working in commercial real estate myself, its hard to imagine becoming comfortable enough with the deal to invest when comparing to the level of analysis and due diligence I do in my day job. I'm interested in anyone's thoughts or opinions.
