Hey everybody! 

This meetup is going to be a monthly meeting at a local brewery and/or pub. We will meet on the first Thursday of every month. At first, I do not plan on having an agenda; instead I'd really just like to provide networking opportunities and give people a chance to meet other investors. I think it can feel a bit lonely out there and I'd like to be able to encourage other investors when possible. 

Ultimately, depending on the initial response to this post, I'd like to be able to invite speakers to come to the meeting so that we can discuss targeted topics that are helpful to the group. If you have any questions, please respond to this post or DM me and I'll do my best to answer any questions.

Hey everybody, 

I'm looking for some input. Given the uptick in COVID cases and the Governor's orders that keep changing, I was curious on if/how everyone wanted to move forward this month. I've got three options that I'm presenting: 

• First, we could move forward as planned;
• 
  
• Second, we could just schedule a Google Meet event and talk about what kind of things we are interested in moving forward;

• Third, we could postpone the first event until the first Thursday in January.

At this point, I think our best option is to post-pone until January but I'd like to get some input from the people that are confirmed to attend. Please just comment on this threat with your thoughts. I'll update the schedule on this page, so you may want to follow this thread or set up notifications for responses here. Thanks in advance!

I am good with any of the three choices. Not sure if pushing to January will have any better results for an in person meeting. Maybe a virtual meeting may be better or we could play it by ear and have Google as a backup?

Thanks Zach for this initiative. The Covid situation is changing and we may not know what January may be like. At this point I will support a Virtual Meet up. 

I'd be interested in attending a virtual meet

Just wanted to send an update to everybody. We are going to post-pone our first meeting until January 7, 2021. Same start time (6:30 PM) and same place (Madtree). Given the number of potential attendees, the current COVID restrictions and a desire to have a helpful and safe event, I think this might be the best idea.

Because we are just getting started, I'd prefer to avoid an online meetup at this point. If the end of December doesn't show any improvement in the COVID situation, I may push it back a bit further. While I hate to have to do this, it seems like the best call at the moment. Thanks again for signing up. I do look forward to meeting all of you soon!

Sorry to blow everybody up, but I just wanted to send a follow-up telling everyone that the first meetup has been re-scheduled for January 7. We will NOT be meeting in December due to increased COVID numbers and restrictions.
