Wednesday night, February 24th The San Jose Real Estate Networking Club will be hosting local real estate investor and entrepeneour Vivian Chen.
About the speaker: Ten years ago Vivian Chen was happily working at HP and imagined she'd work there until she retired. Then she was laid off. At the time Vivian knew nothing about real estate. But she seized the opportunity to invest in herself, got training, began networking, and took the action required to succeed.
Vivian has been a full-time real estate investor in the Bay Area since 2006. During this time she has done about two-dozen deals (with five in progress), mostly focusing on new construction and fix-and-flip in Palo Alto and Los Alto with a dash of wholesaling. Vivian’s hands on experience and expertise are broad. She has worked with wholesalers to get her deals, has put the financing together, invited partners in when cash is tight, and has managed the projects from start to finish.
Vivian also loves decorating and owns one of the biggest staging companies in the Bay Area, One Two Six Design. The cash flow generated by One Two Six Design enables Vivian to support her real estate projects. Through One Two Six Design Vivian has helped hundreds of homeowners and investors stage their houses and get top dollar when selling.
About the Meeting: At this meeting of the San Jose Real Estate Networking Club Vivian Chen will tell you about her journey to real estate success. Starting from motivated newbie and going all the way to new construction and owner of a very successful staging company. Vivian will highlight and discuss some specific deals as well as provide insights and inspiration for success. She will also go into detail on the new construction process starting from acquisition to funding, managing, and all the way to dispossession.
This will be a great opportunity to learn from and network with a very successful local real estate investor who does not typically (or ever) speak at Meetups. Vivian will not only discuss some specific deals she has done, but will also field questions in a casual Q&A with the audience.
Be prepared to ask questions and take lots of notes!
