Overview

This month's speaker will discuss ways to take advantage of your property insurance policy that you may not be aware of, including how to help defray the cost of tenant turnover.

Topic

Everyone knows that they need to have property insurance. It's often looked at as a necessary evil. Few people know what's really in their policy, let alone actually read it.

But for the informed investor there are opportunities that you're probably not aware of, opportunities to take advantage of and use your policy where you didn't know that you could. If you have to have insurance, why not use it for all that it's worth?

One of the most expensive aspects of being a landlord is tenant turnover and often a security deposit won't cover all of your expenses. But what if your property insurance could? Join us this June to find out more!

Guest Speaker

Our guest speaker this month is Jeffrey Feldstein. He has lived in Randolph, NJ for the past seventeen years with his wife and two boys. Over the last five years he owned a barbecue restaurant and developed a BBQ sauce company. Though the restaurant has since closed, his sauce remains available in over 200 stores in nineteen states.

With his newly available time, Jeff became a licensed public adjuster. In this role he helps people collect money from their insurance companies. By analyzing the legalese of their policies, Jeff is able to help people obtain significantly more money than they might otherwise get on their own and often can alert them to money they're eligible for that they are frequently not aware of.

Jeff works throughout the State of New Jersey with real estate agents, investors, mortgage companies, contractors, and local business owners. In the past two years Jeff has helped hundreds of people collect such payments allowing them to fix their properties properly as well as to identify the types of policies they currently have and whether or not it may make sense to change providers. Though he may recommend certain insurance companies, he does not work for these companies and receives no compensation for doing so.

Location

We will be meeting at the Beach Haus Brewery. It is located at 801 Main Street in Belmar, NJ. There is street parking and a parking lot behind the building. Both are free. You do not need to be 21 or purchase a drink in order to attend this event. You should be greeted when you first walk in to their gift shop area before being directed upstairs. Check out our website for more details.
