Location: WeWork Northern Liberties 1010 North Hancock Street, Philadelphia, PA

Presentation: Builders Risk Insurance for New Construction and Renovated Properties in the Philadelphia Area

Speaker: Matt Heller, Account Executive Brown & Brown of Pennsylvania, LP.

Having Builders Risk Insurance while you build or renovate your investment properties can prevent you from losing your investment in the event of a claim or loss. In addition, there are many complex risks associated with construction that can result in 3rd party litigation against you as the owner. Even if the litigation is a result of the contractors work and not you as the owner, there is still potential for defense costs and judgement to be wary of. These risks can be managed and/or mitigated through proper contractual risk transfer and insurance protection.

Flipping homes or buying rental properties has become a booming business in Philadelphia in past decade, and for good reason… real estate is booming in the Philadelphia area right now. Kensington, Fishtown, Northern Liberties, and University City are just some of the neighborhoods that are seeing a complete rejuvenation of old homes. Some are being restored, while others are being knocked down and completely rebuilt.

They will cover at least 10 things you need to know with Builders Risk and not being told.
