With the new administration coming into the White House and congress, I'm predicting that there will be incentives given to the production of bio-diesel. The new administration wants to get away from producing fuels that are fossil based (from crude oil). The reason for this question is that most of my STR income derives from the production of diesel. If the market conditions change, I may have to change or tweak my business model.
What is your prediction?

I think if it's petro-based, it'll become Biden's pub enemy #2 (after riche people). Don't know if that'll change anything for a while since gas use will prob tail off over the next 20 years.

I think long term, biodiesel will become more prevalent and slow down the use of diesel but you probably have some time.
"Joe Biden’s campaign climate plan, entitled a ‘Clean Energy Revolution’, involves $1.7 trillion USD in renewable energy infrastructure to be spent over 10 years. Of which, $400 billion USD has been earmarked for research/innovation and this plan has a stated goal of “ensuring the U.S. achieves a 100% clean energy economy and net-zero emissions no later than 2050.”

Short term: minimal to no changes
Long term: Crude is on its way out, or at least being minimized, regardless of the political landscape.
