Wireless for Myrtle Beach High-Rise Condo Units

Building have shared network and I need my own secure network for my unit for my smart lock.

Internet company won’t hook up an individual internet connection for me for contractual reasons.

Any ideas for how I can get high speed wireless internet (no wired connection) in Myrtle Beach, SC would be greatly appreciated.

@Jonathan D Clark Sr, is it a wired connection or wireless? Did you contact the provider to find out if each hub is separated from each other?

I contacted the provider and they are contractually prohibited from setting me up my own network in these condos.

I’m looking for options for a “non-hard-wired” service. T-Mobile doesn’t offer it here.

Thanks

Ok, well I can't help much without more info. Are you concerned with hacking or ? You should be able to setup a router with firewall between the feed and your network.

I know some investors here that have installed a verizon hotspot in their condos. Would that be an option for you?

Hi Jonathan,

I've actually had a couple of my investor clients set-up a T-mobile hot spot in some units and that worked for them.

Thanks,

Spenser

It’s wireless and I am not allowed to get my own router. Shared network

I am not allowed to have my own router.
i have a unit in a different building where I am allowed to have my own router and that one hooked up easily.

Will they set up a vlan for you? That will give you a private network for your unit on their existing infrastructure. If not just grab a hotspot from any cell phone provider.
