Airbnb License in Florida
I want to start Airbnb my home. What are the licenses I need to be legit to get this going?
Just to be clear you want to Short Term Rental your house. Airbnb is a platform to advertise your listing. There is no State requirement other then to pay taxes. You need to call the city and find out there requirements.

It won't be an Airbnb license. It would likely be a Short Term Rental license.
Check on the requirements with your city and county.
That is to register your property as a business with the state and hence pay your state tax similar to a hotel. That is different than a local license or from a city or county. I pay state and county tax. Your situation, you might pay State and City tax depending on what jurisdiction you are in.

Just google “XYZ County Short Term Rental” there will be a website set up for this in your area. Kenneth had great advice. Florida is generally very short term friendly with few exceptions.

This website may have some help: https://www.tampa.gov/neighbor...
If you don't find the answer there, contact Planning and Zoning and ask.
I have a STR in Marco Island. I was surprised by the number of registrations and licenses I needed. Definitely look into city, county and state. Definitely need DBPR but also need state and county tax registration, I also needed a home office license (if you also live in city limits), business tax receipts. I also filed a DBA because I use a name for my rental but it's not an LLC. If you have an LLC, then there are other requirements, too.
I am licensed in the State of Florida with the DBPR and need to pay State and County tax. Additionally, my municipality requires a fire inspection, a $500 annual fee; they require a floor plan with egress routes, and a fire extinguisher. Each municipality has their own requirements. Call your town hall for confirmation.
I do use an LLC to operate my business through, and also pay annual filing through the FL Secretary of State.
Each city and county have different regulations/requirements. Other than licensing, you'll be remitting lodging tax to appropriate municipalities, something to look into :)
