Where to look for a cleaner
Bought my first vacation rental home in Solterra Resort, Davenport. Looking to find a cleaner only. I will property manage myself. Anyone have an idea where I could look or have any recommendations? Thank you!

FB marketplace.
Also look in local FB STR groups.
Referrals from other STR operators.
I agree with @John Underwood about using social media as a means to find a cleaner. If you are at your property on a Saturday (which is typically check in and check out day), you'll see many cleaners working at other STR's go talk to them.

are there other rentals in that Resort? you could ask other STR owners there. I know for my place in Panama City, the HOA had a list of all sorts of cleaners/handymen/plumbers etc that are used by other people all over the complex.
Facebook / ask other local operators who they use if they self manage.
You can also ask your agent. Plus if you’ve just bought the place and it was cleaned to your satisfaction you may be able to ask the sellers for the existing cleaners info.
I asked my realtor, friends in the area, FB Marketplace. I called over a dozen cleaners, who were all too busy to take me on mid-high season. But I asked them all if there was someone they could recommend, and one did tell me about my current cleaner, who is awesome.

You can also check Handy/Thumbtack and other similar sites. We are in Tampa not too far away and it is not hard to find cleaners with STR experience through Google, Facebook, Handy/Thumbtack etc and then vette their references.

I think you got your answer @Dave Tov! Gratz on the new place!
I have had a lot of success with thumbtack in finding cleaners.
STR Facebook groups are always a fantastic place to talk to other industry hosts and get their unfiltered feedback on cleaners they have worked with in the past. You can also find maintenance and any other rockstar team members you need to complete your team.

I agree with this as well as these methods have worked for me for home cleaning/home maintenance purposes.

If your area has nextdoor.com, look there. This is a place where local people recommend local people - there are probably already lots of good recommendations on there, so check it out.
My advice is to have TWO cleaners in rotation at all times. One of them will invariably quit, no-show, or "go crazy", so you need a backup cleaner who has been to your place and can sub in at a moment's notice. And when the first one quits/leaves/gets fired, get another one so you still have 2 to rely on. (9 years of STR self-management experience talking here!)
