…unverified claim from a Dollywood official. Reasons? Main one being that customers from NC and SC are a no-show this year, due to several single lane situations on Interstate 40, causing delays of up to 2.5 hours each direction. This is due to ongoing repairs from Helene, and another flood event just a few weeks ago.

its like going from PDX to Lincoln city or Seaside on a holiday weekend it can take hours to get through the first traffic lights.. first time I tried to go to lincoln city and the traffic stopped 20 miles from town I just turned around and went back home.. :) not sure how it is your way with going to newport etc.. probably not as bad since the population is a fraction of PDX metro. HOwever I can see attendance way down if families with screaming kids in the car get stuck for a few hours :)
