TAX DEED IN ALABAMA and Quiet Title Action

I have a Tax Deed which was just recorded about a month ago.   Previous owner's relative, previous owner passed away supposedly has a deed but was never recorded according to title and county records.  I just pulled title property profile was so no record a deed being recorded prior to my tax deed.   Previous owner's relative owner hired an attorney to contest my ownership and my name shows tax assessor's office as owner of record.   Previous owner's relative is willing to pay back my original investment to acquire property.   What should or usually happens next?   Am I going to lose this property?  How much or should I do quiet title action?  Thanks
