New Investor Looking For "Rockstars"
Hello, my name is Will Kurtz and I really want to get into real estate investing and more specifically rental property investing. I'm 23 years old and don't have much experience, but I've read several books, most recently David Greene's BRRRR book, and have a real passion for the industry. I'm looking to meet new people who are also looking for a mutualistic relationship with new, young investors. I'm currently very confident in that I know what I need to do to be successful in this field, I'm just looking for people who not only can help me with reassurances, leads, financing, etc. but for people whom I can be a resource for as well. One of the main things I've learned is that it goes both ways and I want to make sure I'm doing my part to help the people I'll be working with just as much as they're helping me. Once I have the ball rolling and my core group of people around me, I have zero doubt that we can be extremely successful!
Hi @Will Kurtz, welcome to REI!
There are so many great people in this community.
You seem very ambitious so I have no doubt that you will be successful in your future endeavors.
I am excited to see your progress!
Thank you Andrew!
Wow 23!? That is awesome Will! I got my first duplex at 24 and fell in love with real estate enough to become a lender! I would love to connect and hear more about your journey

Rockstars attract rock stars. Be the person that rockstars want to work with, hold your end of the weight and make it known that you are a hustler as well. Having the money and hustle mentality alone is not going to do it, get things done! I have no doubt you're a rockstar

Hi Will!
Jumping into REI can be overwhelming at first with the different lingo, terms, avenues to choose from...not to mention the volatile market right now. I would love to connect because I am fairly new and can tell you what has/hasn't worked for me thus far. Like you said, it is about finding your core group and establishing a symbiotic relationship.

That is great Will! Are you living in Cleveland? I am always willing to connect. Our brokerage does a great job with mentoring. It helps the person who is mentoring as well as the person being mentored. If you want to hear more or talk then just reach out.
I love your attitude! If you come at this with an honest passion, you can do super well. I'm happy to help with whatever questions you have or connections you're looking to make! Let me know however I can help.
Hi Will, welcome to the community! There is a great group of members on here to connect with.

Welcome aboard Will.
Hi Will!
Welcome! Lots of good advice on here already. I will add that you should seek out ways to feed this passion. Build community with others who can not only be part of your team but who share your goals and are also looking to find success investing in real estate. That will keep you focused and motivated. People on this site are always so willing to get on the phone with other investors and share. I would be glad to make some introductions for you to get the ball rolling if you're interested. Feel free to send me a note if you're interested.
All the best!
