I would do a Google search for a local club and attend the meetings.

To flip, you'll need to get good at finding deals, analyzing deals and estimating repair costs. You'll also need a source of financing. Have you read J Scott's book on flipping? That might be a good place to start. You don't necessarily need your license to flip, though.

Having your license while being an investor is powerful and under rated. Most people will tell you it's un necessary, which is true. But we get to make 3% back on every buy and sale.

Getting your license and being a skilled and effecient agent are two, totally different concepts. I'm not saying that it's impossible, but many people think you get your license and you make an extra 3 or 6% on every deal. That's just not true.

I have done so many deals with investors trying to go this route and they make so many mistakes along the way that it costs them much more than they are "saving" by representing themselves and they have no idea that they've even lost.

There's a reason why the attrition rate with agents is 90%- easy to get a license, not so easy to be successful.

My advice if you want to get your license is to make that the main focus of your real estate efforts and you can flip as opportunities present themselves and not the other way around.

Best of luck!
