New to investing. $100k to invest in STR

Looking to start investing in real estate with about 100k. All condos I have looked into are way too expensive ore look trashed. Also looked for beach houses with same outcomes. Any other ideas on how to initially invest? Thanks in advance.

What areas/neighborhoods/asset classes would you like to invest in? Ever think about house hacking to start out?
