Colorado Investor, Real Estate Agent, Property Manager & Veteran—Excited to Connect

Hi everyone! I’m Megan, based in the Denver area.

After 12 years as an officer in the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force leading major space programs, I recently transitioned into real estate full time. I’m now a licensed Colorado real estate agent with New Western, where I connect investors with off-market opportunities for fix-and-flip, buy-and-hold, and other value-add strategies.

I’m also a rental-property owner and hands-on property manager working to grow my own investment portfolio. Real estate is something I genuinely live and breathe, and I joined BiggerPockets to learn from experienced investors, exchange ideas, and build authentic relationships.

I’d love to connect with other Colorado investors. What markets or investment strategies are you currently focused on?

Welcome to BiggerPockets!

I’m not from Colorado, but I retired from the Air Force in 2025. I enjoyed reading about your journey and wanted to wish you all the best as you continue pursuing your goals.

Hamp! Happy to connect and appreciate the sentiment. I wish you well in your endeavours. There are some great properties in your area of Texas to invest in!

Welcome to the BiggerPockets community, Megan! I’m also in the Denver area and excited to connect 😊

I currently own three rental properties and have house hacked my way here over the past four years. I’ve really leaned into the co-living strategy at this point. I’ve found that it's a great way to maintain strong cash flow in the Denver market.

I’d love to hear your perspective - what strategies are you seeing work best in Denver right now?

Danielle, I would love to connect. I love the house hacking method but also know those deals tend to go quickly. I actively work with investors to find deals across Colorado. Investors are using a number of resources to find deals (network, social media, wholesalers, off-market marketplaces, etc.). There are a bit of wholesalers in the area buying up distressed properties for investors to fix and flip. There has been quite a bit of great ROI on these properties in demanding areas. My brokerage is part of the solution acquiring these distressed properties, and I am out here selling them. I will shoot you a text!

Welcome Megan. I am a Navy Veteran and Mortgage Broker in Denver. I invest in long-term and currently focused on Short-Term Rentals I own, pushing them into the top 1% of their submarkets.

Welcome Megan! I'm not a Colorado investor, but I help investors with house designs and structural drawings. I'm a licensed professional engineer in Colorado and can provide drafting services nationwide. If an addition, ADU, or new build is in your future, I'd love to help! If not, it would still be great to chat about investment strategies.

Welcome to BP, Megan, and thank you for your service! Wild transition from running space programs to hunting down off-market deals, but honestly the skills probably carry over more than people think. Cool that you're on the agent side AND actually own/manage rentals yourself, that combo means you actually get it from both angles. Excited to see what you post here!

Jesus, I appreciate you reaching out. There are transferable skills and I’m discovering more of them each day that goes by. No matter what, it’s still hard work and a hustle.

Welcome to the Denver market Megan, and thank you for your service in the Air Force and Space Force. Transitioning into full time real estate with New Western is an awesome move.

My wife Claire and I run a local sewer company here in the area. Our company is built by and employs military families, so we have a huge respect for veterans. We work closely with local investors, real estate agents, and property managers on fix and flips, rental properties, and due diligence evaluations to help keep deals moving smoothly.

We provide free camera evaluations all the way to the city tap. We run the cameras at no cost because if there happens to be an issue with a line, we hope to earn your business by offering a clear and fair estimate. If a pipe just needs maintenance, we run 305 dollar 3 inch to 4 inch chain knocker cleanings using a custom rig I engineered specifically to scour walls clean without damaging older lateral lines.

Claire and I are always happy to connect with great agents and investors in the area. Best of luck building your portfolio out here, and feel free to reach out anytime you need a dependable sewer partner for your clients or your own properties.
