Hello everyone!

My name is Luis and I currently reside in Queens, NY. I'm new to BP and want to thank everyone for all the helpful information they share with all of us. I've been around for a couple of weeks and decided to join. I've already spoken with a couple of helpful people here and have learned so much.

I'm currently looking to invest outside of NY due to the high property prices here. I'm looking to invest in NJ and possibly PA due to the proximity to NY. I'm looking to buy and hold properties. I'm hoping to make a move really soon.

I'm so glad I found this wonderful community with so many helpful people. I learn something new everyday. I'm looking forward to meeting many people here and looking forward to the next local REI meet.

Thank you all.

Welcome to Biggerpocket!

This is a great place to grow and learn. We are buy and hold investors with the long term goal of retiring early in 15 years in our mid 40's. We manage all over the country based on investments and where the navy sends us. We are investing ofor the future. Since we both work full time and I self manage from all over. we buy class A neighborhood houses that I can manage from anywhere.

We are hoping the cash flow along with my husbands Navy retirement (Navy/God Willing). We got started buying personal and turning them into rental when my husband was transferred. This was a great way to turn a transient lifestyle into positive thing.

Definitly check out the blogs, podcast and forums. Another great source of information is individual blogs found in peoples signatures. Many of us including myself right about our niche. The one thing we all agree about is investing in Real Estate beyond us we have many different style and modes of investing. My blog/website is about long distance self management, landlording, investing in class A investments, investing in a transient lifestyle, etc.

Elizabeth Colegrove Thank you for welcoming me. Like yourself, I plan to buy and hold. I currently have 2 properties in NY and i'm expanding out of NY. Sounds like you have a good strategy and it seems like its working out very well.

I've checked out some forums, blogs, and podcasts and the amount of information I've acquired is unbelievable. Your website is such a helpful tool because I'm going to be a long distance landlord. Thank you for taking your time to write to me, I appreciate it so much.
