Hello. My name is Vivian. My partner Luis and I a new to real estate investing. We went to a seminar 2 months ago and here we are; eager to learn the business. The information thus far is so overwhelming that we just don't know where to really start. Looking for guidance and training. We were at an open house yesterday and the real wstate agent pointed us in this direction as an investor himself.

I am currently working as a Legal Assistant for an Employment and Labor Law Firm and Luis is retired. He currently has property that he rents and works on himself. His experience is buy and hold. I have only purchased my own residences. We are ready to learn this business and have made a commitment to each other to make this work.

Thank you, ~Vivian

Hi @Vivian Lopez ,

Welcome to BiggerPockets!

It's a great time to be building your real estate portfolio.

Don't get overwhelmed.  Take it a step at a time.  You will never stop learning but don't let that slow you down.  Experience will be a great teacher too.

Welcome to BP. Since there are so many places to start educating yourself on, you first need to ask yourself what you want to do and what are your goals. That will help pave the way for whatever you are looking to get into.

Welcome Vivian! I used to drive through Newhall all the time... I was living in West LA but working in Palmdale, and I had a co-worker I was always visiting out in Newhall and I even lived in the Residence Inn there for awhile when I first moved out to CA with my job :)

Welcome to the REI crew!

Thank yourself for the warm welcome. I must say I'm a bit overwhelmed by all the knowledge and training from all you experienced kind people. I hope to one day be as successful to be able to give back. By all the posts on your site, it looks like I have a lot of reading ahead. Thank you again for your kindness.
