Hey Everybody my name is Dana Randall, Im a 9-5 mechanic, with three young boys. I'm very new to real estate, I just recently took a Success Path 3 day class, and I left the class feeling very excited and motivated but I still have a lot of questions and hesitation about how to start investing. My main goals for becoming a real estate investor is to set my kids up for college and make enough income to cover what I use to make in the automotive industry. My wife and I are working on doing some research and networking to build a team. I'm glad I have found this community and we look forward to the relationships we will build here.   

Welcome to BP... I live in Denver. I use a buy and hold method. My method is a take on the Lease-Option. You should read the Rich Dad Poor Dad series. Including the Rich Dad Advisor series. Get educated. I have 3 properties in my portfolio. Looking to add 2 more this month if all goes well.

@Dana Randall welcome. I too started in RE by trying to figure out how to fund my kids education. It's become much more than that. I don't know what Success Path is but I'm sure with few hours here you can get a bunch of your questions answered. The search feature in the upper right hand corner is great. Unless your question is very deal specific, it's likely that it's already been asked a dozen times so the search feature is great. 

Come out and meet the folks at our local meetup. This is the link to the February one but the schedule for the year is in this post and the location doesn't usually change. 

Set up some keyword alerts and you will know what's happening locally.
