Hi, my name is Silvia and I’m from Southern California, South Bay area. I’ve worked myself out of a job as I finished homeschooling my last child this year. My husband and I are looking to create passive income for our family.

My husband’s passion is teaching and wants to be able to teach Math at the local high school. My passion is being able to afford food and shelter on a teacher’s salary. We are looking to supplement his future teaching salary with outside income through real estate investing. We are currently looking at investing out of state and begin our real estate journey investing in duplexes.

We’ve both read “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” and I’ve just finished reading “the Book on Rental Property Investing”. We’ve both listened to many podcasts on Bigger Pockets. I am also in the process of reading “Tax Strategies for the Savvy Real Estate Investor”.

As my husband has a full-time job right now, I am the point man for beginning our real estate journey.
