Hello all I am new here.

I am wanting to get educated but also wondering? How do I even find an investor or use a private loan? What do I need to use or how should I go about this?

Next, I was wondering can anyone teach me or just help me up on my feet? I do not know what to look for or how to even get started to start flipping houses or wholesale etc.

Thank you all in advance I want something more for my family. And this is the only way I see to make our lives better and happier.

@Andrew Killen BiggerPockets is exploding with answers to all of your questions. You can search the forums, blog posts, or search on google and just type "biggerPockets" along with whatever you are searching. Listen to the podcasts too. Spend a solid month reading and searching and you'll know what all that stuff means. After I discovered BiggerPockets a couple of years ago I pretty much haven't stopped reading and I'm still learning every a ton.

Also you can do a google search for your local REIA-Real Estate Investors Association. Wherever you are will most likely have at least one and they will most likely meet once a month and there will be tons of investors of all experience levels there.

Basically what you need and how you start this is by being here, which you already are so that's awesome. There's so much info so don't get overwhelmed, just search and read and search and read. Good luck!

Hello! @Andrew Killen

Welcome to BP, and congratulations on making the decision to invest in your future via real estate.

I have written a few blog posts that may help you get started here on BP, and with your investing. Please click on the links, give them a read, and share your thoughts in the comments.

First is a post that I feel will help not get overwhelmed with the amount of info that is here on BP:

The second is a post that will help get you focused with your real estate investing goals:

The last one is a post that will help you choose an “investor friendly” real estate agent. There are many agents out there, but it’s important to choose the right one.
