Hey everyone,

My name is Pete Tu. My parents moved to the United States from Taiwan in the early 80s. I was born In NYC in 1986 and I grew up in Central New Jersey. After high school, I moved to Atlantic City and trained to become a Casino Dealer. I dealt Poker, Blackjack, Craps and Baccarat. I was 18 when I got involved in the casino industry. I became mesmerized by the lights, show girls and money. I loved it.

I moved to West Virginia in 2008 to open up a brand new casino and have worked as a shift manager for the past 11 years. I’ve meet some very interesting and successful people in the poker world. Poker’s one of those games that bring in people all walks of life. The casino industry has provided me with the opportunity to network and connect, but I was tired of the grind. I have two kids under 3 years old, I don’t want to miss them grow up. I needed financial freedom.

So I started to research, and I decided to get a Real Estate sales license here in WV. I immersed myself in videos and books about Real Estate.

That’s when I discovered Bigger Pockets.

I’m here to learn and grow. I just wanted to thank everyone for contributing to my education and growth. I really appreciate it.

I'm here in Charleston as well. We should connect sometime.

It saddens me to say this but there aren't alot of people from West Virginia using this site at the moment. From what I've seen most people that are operating here tend to be in the northern part of the state closer to Maryland and DC. In saying that there is a great opportunity to cultivate relationships from the few members that are in the southern part of the state. We should try to start a meet up in the Charleston area maybe visit the casino and try my luck at Blackjack haha! If you are ever in the Beckley area please feel free to give me a message!
