Looking at building spec homes in Central Colorado
Hello! I signed up on this site a couple of years ago when I was selling our house in Denver and building the home we now live in near Salida, Colorado. I'm back again looking for tips, suggestions, resources, mentoring, etc. on building a spec home. We own two additional lots in our sub-division, one of which I picked up at a bargain price in the depths of the real estate recession. Coincidentally - and fortuitously - these lots are adjacent, so I'm thinking to construct two homes at once to take advantage of economies of scale. I'm not a builder by background, although I was the general contractor on my home here in conjunction with a company out of Parker, CO that worked with first-time home builders. That worked out very well and I learned alot. This time around, I'd like to partner with someone locally who is trustworthy and knows his/her stuff. Right now, I'm trying to wrap my head around where to start.
