I have Roger Herring in Laurenceville as a recommend, but I can't tell if he is a CPA or not.

Any know a sharp real estate investor oriented CPA?

I don't have a local referral for you- but if you're looking for an expert there are several good CPAs/ EAs on this site. Feel free to shoot me a PM for information. 

Looking at Roger he doesn't appear to have either credential- he may very well be an excellent accountant but he's not held to the same standards as a licensed professional in the field.

I used Roger last year, this year I am looking for a new person.  

We're also looking for this type of service, in the same North Atlanta area--especially Dunwoody/Sandy Springs. We need also need help on SDIRA, LLC vs. Limited partnership (if a relative with more borrowing power wants to invest with us), and the tax implications of moving-i.e., changing our state of residence--before we sell our CA home.
