Information about LLC and Taxes

Hi there,

So next year I'll be doing some side contract work and it's about the time I start to form an LLC for myself for legal and tax purposes. I've read and heard from others that Nevada and Delaware are often picked to form an LLC out of due to the tax laws, and not needing to be a resident of that state.

Is this still applicable? If so, do I need to also get some type of business licenses for the state I'm currently living in and doing work in.. or does that matter? I know next year the work on one of the contracts will be out of state while the other I'll be in state.
