Does anyone know how much time I have to give tenants before a rent raise in a non-rent controlled building (3 units) in Union City?
@Alan Berlin , you must give notice within the timeframe stipulated in your lease (at least 30 days) or as stipulated within the local rent control ordinance, if any. If your tenants are on a month-to-month lease, you must give a 30-day notice, too.
You cannot raise the rent in the middle of a lease.
