Help !!!Failed Certificate of Occupancy Inspection
Hi All,
I am not sure how to deal with an issue. I recently purchased a two family in Irvington, NJ. I have a temporary C/O. We did a partial gut rehab and brought the living, dining and kitchen to the studs. I complied with what the temporary inspection wanted. I then arranged to have a full inspection done and I failed. The inspector listed things that were not originally on the temporary list He also asked that I paint a basement the is not occupied. The basement is dry. I don't know what to do. I am feeling that there maybe some "shaddy" stuff going on. THey asked me to paint a living room that is brand new and painted.
Can anyone advise on how to deal with this situation. I have never had to deal with Inspectors bullying me.
