So after browsing BP today I took some time to look for any locals to connect with. After some time I decided maybe it would be easier to post in the New York section. Looking for anyone who works with real estate outside the city and not four hours upstate. Primarily Putnam county, peekskill, Lake peekskill, Poughkeepsie, Newburgh, Yorktown.
Howdy! I'm in Yorktown and looking at investing in Peekskill. In the process of buying a multi family property up there right now. I'm up in Putnam valley a lot because I keep a horse up there.

I'm inpoughkeepsie. I have a handful of rentals in Poughkeepsie but started my investments in lake Carmel. The building inspector was a real pain in Putnam but since then she was fired. I still own some land by you. Mary Ave mahopac

Wow a real local forum! I'm living in NYC but the family (business) is currently wrapping up a rehab in Yorktown (where they/business live) and looking to do more in the surrounding area. Not sure if we're going to rent yet or cash out and sell. I'm looking to get more into the family business myself. Other family members have multi families in Poughkeepsie/Newburgh, so we're pretty familiar with the area. Glad to see a few guys on here in the area!
